This is NOT your typical stone massage! The purpose of this massage is to introduce heat and cold to points of tension, providing input that allows your body to reevaluate, relax and renew itself.

Our Hot & Cold Stone Therapeutic Massage is a 60, 75, or 90 minute relaxing and revitalizing service that incorporates warm basalt stones and cold marble stones during your massage session. Used in combination, the stones help to redirect your mind’s focus on your body, assist with warming and loosening tight muscles and also can help to reduce inflammation and discomfort.

Hot stones are heated using a professional massage stone heater. Cold stones are placed in an Ice bath to chill the stones. Please note that stones are not placed and left on the body. They are held by the therapist and are kept in motion during the massage.

The direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist access to deeper muscle layers. When cold stones are placed on the skin, it initially causes narrowing of the blood vessels (vasoconstriction). When they are removed, the blood vessels dilate (vasodilation), bringing fresh blood and oxygen to that area, which increases circulation.

Hot stone massage may help relieve symptoms of widespread, chronic pain for clients with joint pain, fibromyalgia or rheumatoid arthritis.
